4 Months Old

Well I successfully forgot to write about 3 months and now I'm having a hard time remembering, so I'm making sure I write this post now.
Emily You have been working hard on growing and changing lately.  You are a smiley little girl.  You often lay in your crib or in the pack and play and smile and coo and squeal at the stuffed animals.  You still love to be held and to snuggle.  Sometimes when you wake up early in the morning I'll take you to bed and you fall right back asleep.  You enjoy being held by whoever has you, you aren't picky.  Speaking of sleep you are wiggly still and we have found you turned around and sideways in your bed a couple of mornings.  Nana/Grandma thinks that you'll turn over soon.  You are spending a lot more time without your pacifier, since it makes it hard to smile and "talk".  You have also found your hands which helps a lot when your pacifier falls out at night.  You hold your hands and are sucking your fingers, thumb, wrist and really whatever you can get into your mouth.  This also includes your shirts and blankets.  You have finally graduated from your newborn size clothes about a week ago.  You're just getting too long.

You are still a little snuggler and like to be in your Moby wrap.  You are having fewer and fewer nights where you are really upset.  We've taken you out to dinner a few times and you really seem to like the noise and people. (Maybe because of the almost 2 months of NICU time where there was constant commotion?)   You love to be talked to and will "talk" in response.  You do a lot of cooing but we haven't really heard a squeal out of you yet.  You like to "watch" TV.  People have commented how focused you are.  You really seem to take it all in.  You really seem to have preferences when it comes to being held.  You aren't as easily calmed as Emily and sometimes it just needs to be Mom, which is fine with me.  You are growing quickly out of your clothes and are in 6 months.  Your 3-6 month clothes kind of fit... for now.Weight: 16 lbs. according to the bathroom scale (16 lbs. 6 oz.
